1995
Locke Vineyards Mt. Ranch
Kevin Locke establishes Locke Vineyards by completing the first harvest at the Mt. Ranch vineyard with Zinfandel. Grapes sold to local Calaveras County winery.
1999
Murphys Vineyard
Kevin and Theresa Locke expand Locke Vineyards to two vineyards by establishing and planting the Murphys vineyard. Both vineyards operate and grapes are sold local to wineries.
2003
Locke Wine Label
Locke Vineyards starts it's own wine label wholesale with three red wines. Zinfandel, Sequoia (Zin/Cab Blend) and Cabernet Sauvignon.
2014
Tasting Room Opens Downtown
Kevin (owner) retires from his 35 year career as a local forester. He opens a tasting room in downtown Murphys with the help of his youngest daughter, Kirsten.
January 2017
Locke Farmhouse
Kirsten opens Farmhouse Shop sources and creating goods from our onsite lavender and fresh flower farm.
2018
The Barn Opens
Downtown Murphys tasting room closes and moves to The Barn at the Murphys vineyard. Kirsten Locke is named Director of Operations. Locke Vineyards is home.
2019
Reserve Locke Label
Locke Vineyards creates a new reserve label with three new wines. Under the two Locke wine label there are currently (16) wines produced.

Amazing vineyard! The wine is great (but my bias for red is Sequoia, it's a MUST try). They host a bunch of events like paint night, yoga, candle making, personalized bath salt, harvesting your own herbs and much more. Highly recommend a visit! Not to mention that they support local vendors with great merchandise. You can spend a few hours chillin with friends inside the barn or outside on the patio. You won't regret the visit 🍷

I love stopping at the barn to relax with a glass of wine on the patio. Always grab a fresh flower or dried lavender bouquet while picking up my favorite wines too!
