Locke Vineyards - Wine & Farmhouse Ambassador Position

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Welcome and Greet all guests to the property. Create a memorable experience for the guests by engaging in a professional dialogue of the Locke Vineyards handcrafted wines, vineyards, boutique items and family history. The wine & farmhouse ambassador position is expected to complete all tastings with guests by being engaging & connected through the property, wines, farmhouse products and local history/community at Locke Vineyards. Handle routine sales transactions of wine, products and tours/tastings. Assist with wine and farmhouse product development, packaging, display and stocking. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and function of the facilities. Assist with hospitality special events and wine club shipments as needed.

Wine & Farmhouse Ambassador Position is a part-time 10-20 hrs/per week position with the expectation of Saturday/Sunday being the main work days; weekends only. On average, the position will experience 10-12 hours per week with periodical peak weeks of 20 hours during wine club shipments/events, private tastings & tours bookings and community festival weekends.

Compensation is based on experience and is established prior to hire. Commissions are based on quarterly sales goals set by the owner(s).

Wine & Farmhouse Ambassador has a (60) day probation period when all extensive employee manual and system training will occur. A review will take place by management and owner(s) after (60) days.

Qualifications:

Love and knowledge of Calaveras County, Murphys, gardens, and wine.

Commitment to excellence and high standards with professional appearance and demeanor.

Extreme proficient on the iPad/computer. Familiar with POS systems and technology applications.

Excellent presentation and detailed service skills.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Excellent customer service and sales skills.

Physical Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age & RBS Certified.

Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis

Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $17.00 per hour
